Hi! I'm Margaret.
As a licensed massage therapist, I'm trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques. Swedish massage aids in relaxation, circulation, stress reduction, and healing of the body as a whole system. Deep Tissue techniques are more focused, in order to open and release a particular muscle and the surrounding connective tissue, relieving pain and chronic tension.
I have additional training in Myofascial Release Technique, which uses subtle touch to access the fascia, a type of connective tissue that lies between skin and muscle. Opening the fascia can create ease and freedom in the body when there is chronic pain due to posture or other long-term issues.

What to Expect
We will talk briefly before the session about your needs and goals. I will listen to you and check in periodically about pressure and comfort during the session. This is your time to be completely at ease in your body. You're always welcome to ask questions or request that I do something different during a session.
Before our first session, you will fill out and sign an intake form as well as sign a policy statement agreement.
